Actually, life has its main colors. The other colors are but the variations of these. Just like the colors derived from the essence that the humanity holds. Life is beautiful, fun, warm, cold, sincere, distanced, affectionate, and hostile with those colors. Just like the emotions that they reflect. Living, to me, is much like staring at the front window of an ice cream store. That display has a little bit of all emotions. One can pick the emotion of their choice. Our minds play a big role in this choice. For example, let's imagine we're eating blackberry ice cream. Ice cream is something that is ice cold in the first bite but then it ends up warming your heart, much like the emotional transitions that we experience, isn't it? Let's associate that sourish, bitter taste of the blackberry with an unfortunate event that we have experienced. When experiencing pain, one experience an intense cold which in turn turns to severe heat. When pain is consumed, it spreads into the whole body. Eventually, nothing but a warm feeling and a soft breeze is left of that pain. Without knowing, one desires to relive that experience. Tasting that experience is what reminds us of life. We fear to forget so our consciousness keeps reminding us things. This process is what creates our subconscious. All those things that we choose to forget, all those things that impair us from striding forward, lest we forget our sense of selves are but a result of it. Even choosing to consume ice cream in a cone or a cup is done by subconscious in my view. If I eat from a cone, what if it spills while walking so eating from the cup would be the better choice also I’d end up consuming fewer calories... We have the inherent problem of finding an excuse for all our choices. Some of us on the other hand, act without reason. They say this is what I felt like doing, so what and act from an impulse that they ended up staying on a whim. And how do we answer if we want chocolate sauce, nuts or chocolate pieces on top? That is but a different shade of life. Because of your past experiences, you are a person who has already chosen to stay vanilla, so you end up refusing any toppings. If you are person who likes glory, someone who likes to have it all and not feel incomplete, someone who wants to taste all that there is to taste, you will end up asking for all of the toppings. There are things that constrain you however you don't want to feel excluded so you end up asking for just a taste. All in all, there are always so many reasons for our preferences. The important thing is that we realize these and are able to answer the question if it would be okay for us to act a certain way and only then acting out with all that we are, without a hint of regret. After we made a choice, it will not end up in an internal monologue later on. It will hold the whole reality and we will choose which ice cream to eat, what we will taste, why a certain color and else… it is but a result of our ultimate freedom. Realize that you will be making the best choices when you are the most you! Just like how you already know if that ice cream is to be eaten without a cup or a spoon!
